Eye movement desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health.”

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy approach designed to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and other overwhelming life experiences. EMDR therapy helps the brain process and reframe difficult experiences so they feel less emotionally intense and disruptive over time.
Through guided techniques and bilateral stimulation, clients can begin to heal, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity, safety, and emotional balance.
At Wild Strength Therapy, I view EMDR therapy in two important phases. Phase 1 focuses on building awareness, safety, and stability by helping clients better understand their nervous system, develop regulation tools and coping strategies, and to recognize how trauma is stored and expressed within the body.
Phase 2 involves the reprocessing of distressing memories and experiences. Once a strong therapeutic foundation has been established, clients can begin working through unresolved trauma in a supportive and structured way, allowing for deeper healing and lasting change.
Let’s work together.
